The Impact100 DC Fellowship program advances our commitment to building a community with diverse voices and perspectives by providing a path to women ages 21-39 who are interested in philanthropy but currently lack the financial resources to join us.
Impact100 DC fellows contribute to our mission in a variety of ways – from serving on our grant review committees to amplifying our outreach to helping organize events. The fellowship is for one year, with an option to apply for a second year.
The application for the 2026 fellowship year will be available in September and must be submitted by November 1, 2025.
Applicants must be between the ages of 21 and 39 and identify as a woman. They must live or work in Washington, DC; the counties of Montgomery, Prince George’s, Fairfax, and Arlington; or the cities of Alexandria, Fairfax or Falls Church.
No. Those awarded a fellowship receive a full, one-year $1,000 membership to Impact100 DC.
Fellows commit to being actively involved in the organization. A core requirement is that all fellows participate on one of our grant review committees. There are additional optional ways to contribute, depending on the fellows’ interests and skills and the needs of our organization. For example, past fellows have helped out with communications and social media, member recruitment, database management, and events.

A short online application will be available in September. It will request basic contact information, a resume, and a brief paragraph stating the reason for your interest in the Fellowship program. A small committee composed of Impact100 DC members will review all applications. Finalists will be asked to participate in a short virtual interview before selections are made.
Fellowships are funded through donations from Impact100 DC members and friends for this purpose.
The number of fellowships varies from year to year according to available funds. In 2024, there were eight Impact100 DC fellows. In 2025, we have 14 fellows.
