Impact100 DC Surpasses $1 Million in Total Grants Invested in Local Nonprofits; Awards Three Transformational $100,000 Grants to Local Nonprofit Organizations
Women’s collective giving organization celebrates record breaking year of philanthropy
supporting organizations strengthening communities across the DMV region
WASHINGTON (June 17, 2026)—Impact100 DC, the women-led philanthropic organization
dedicated to improving lives across the greater Washington, D.C., region through the power of
collective giving, announced today that it has surpassed $1 million in total grants awarded to
local nonprofit organizations since its founding in 2021.
At its 2026 Annual Awards Celebration, Impact100 DC awarded three Impact Grants of
$100,000 each to:
- DC Greens—Advancing health equity by building a more just and resilient food system
and expanding access to healthy food across Washington, D.C. - DC KinCare Alliance—Supporting grandparents and other kinship caregivers who raise
some of the District’s most vulnerable children. - School Justice Project—Ensuring court-involved students with disabilities receive a
quality education during incarceration and throughout reentry.
“This year marks an extraordinary milestone for our organization and our community,” said
Francine Lamoriello, president, Impact100 DC. “Together, our members have now invested
more than $1 million in local nonprofits that are tackling some of our region’s most pressing
challenges—from educational opportunity and health equity to food access and family support.
Every organization recognized tonight represents the very best of community-driven
leadership, and we are honored to help accelerate their impact.”
In addition to the three Impact Grantees, two additional nonprofits were selected as finalists by
Impact100 DC members this year:
- First Generation College Bound—Supporting low-income and first-generation students
in Prince George’s County on their path to college completion and economic
opportunity. - Grassroots Health—Advancing health equity through sports-based education programs
that engage NCAA student-athletes as health educators and mentors.

“School Justice Project (SJP) is so grateful for the generous support of Impact100! This
transformative funding will open access to education for court-involved students with
disabilities, both during incarceration and throughout reentry. In particular, we are thrilled to
be able to build out both our new social work program and our Education Empowerment
Project, which equips incarcerated students with the knowledge and tools to understand their

Founded in 2021, Impact100 DC was created on a simple but powerful idea: when women pool
their resources, they can make transformational investments in the nonprofits strengthening
their communities. Each member contributes $1,000 annually, with 100% of membership
dues directed to local grantmaking.
The organization’s collective giving model has enabled hundreds of women from across the
Washington region to play a direct role in identifying, evaluating, and funding organizations
addressing critical community needs.
“Our five finalists exemplify the innovation, compassion, and determination that make the
Washington region stronger,” Lamoriello added. “Whether they’re helping students access
higher education, supporting families in crisis, improving health outcomes or creating
opportunities for young people to thrive, these organizations are changing lives every day. The
true winners are the communities they serve.”
Now in its sixth year, the all-volunteer organization awards grants across five focus areas: Arts
& Culture; Education; Environment, Preservation & Recreation; Family; and Health & Wellness.
Impact100 DC prioritizes organizations addressing unmet needs and expanding opportunities
for individuals and communities that have historically faced barriers to access and resources.
